Hi, I believe those are the markings of the Sheridan Silver Company. It looks like a chafing dish or casserole dish. Hope this helps.

Looks fairly modern, could you provide an image of the marks? If it silverplated, comparables sell for under $50.00 at auction.

Thank you the markings are inbetween the last two pictures it is silverplated.the pictures of the markings is small so look carefully

 The marks are Sheridan's, which formed in 1946, so this is modern, $50.00.
