Treadle machine with cabinet. Cabinet is in poor condition on the top. The machine has silver trim rather than gold. Any idea about the value of the machine would be helpful.
Singer is without a doubt the most famous of the North American sewing machine makers. Starting from a humble machine shop in the 1850's the company grew to produce over a million machines by the early 1870's. While these machines are nostalgic items, few except for the Singer "Featherweight" models sell for more than $100.00 in unrestored condition.
