Re: Robert Chailloux Oil on board Strawberries with jug ...

"Born in 1913, Robert Chailloux is considered by many to be one of the finest Still Life painters of the Twentieth Century."

His paintings sell for $4000.00 up to $7000.oo from what I have seen.

Also: Robert Chailloux (French, b.1913) Still life with strawberries and brown jug 46 x 56cm (18 x 22in) £2,000 to 3,000 British pounds. Was being auctioned by Bonhams in England. You may want to get in touch with them because they had the original in March 09.

This shows a photo of a painting entitled "Still life with strawberries and brown jug". It is not the one you show, it took me till now to find a photo of it. I am wondering how many strawberry paintings he did , I have seen 4 already. I would try and see if you can contact someone there and see if they will take a look at yours online and ask if they can verify that he did yours. Its a start. Good luck.

Re: Robert Chailloux Oil on board Strawberries with jug ...

I have recently purchased a very old framed piece similar to the one above except mine has cherries not strawberries and a goblet of wine to the far left. Could this be authentic?
