Re: Royal Doulton Plate Katharine
I have just been given a Royal Doulton "Katharine" plate from my Great Aunt.
Who is "Katharine". Was she a queen and queen of what country.
Can someone provide me with some history as to who this person is?
thank you.
Re: Royal Doulton Plate Katharine
I have a plate like this, but the image of Katharine is whited out but the glaze still in good order not worn ghostly like! It also has an signature of Thsca painted to one side of the Katharine mark, is this more rare?
Re: Royal Doulton Plate Katharine
Without an image to look at, short answer, no. Plates of this type were mass produced items.
