Dragonware is often though to be far older and more valuable than what it is. The marking on yours dates it as a 20th Century piece, most likely brought back by a returning Military type stationed in Japan during the 1950's. Values vary considerably as the market is current saturated with Dragonware. The teapots now generally sell for under $50.00, some for less than $20.00.
I believe I have the very same piece. I paid $11. I have an entire set that was given to me by grandmother. Back during the Korean war, she was a pen-pal with a soldier. She would send gifts from home, he would send candy, handkerchiefs, etc. When he returned to the states, he brought her this set as a gift. My set is the brown, orange and blue with what I've been told is a picture of 4 emperors and a geisha girl. The teacups have the lithopane of the geisha as well. I now have another set (2 total) and other pieces that I've found in other flea markets that actually match my 2 tea sets. My collection has since grown and I've added a few mismatched pieces of other sets. When I happened on a matching set at a flea market to what my grandmother had given me, I bought it on the spot. 15 pieces for $250. Of course, it's way more valuable to me than that....I just love collecting it!
