Description The table has large turned and carved legs, with a central "H" bracket connecting them. The extension leaves slide out from the ends. The chairs have similarly large (but on a smaller scale) front legs, with rather ornate woodworking on the seat back. I recovered the fabric of the chairs in 2000, but the original fabric was replaced in the 1960's. The buffet/sideboard has two doors on the sides, and two drawers in the center. The top drawer has a lift-out silverware tray in it. My grandfather refinished the top of the table in the 1980's, but he did not work on the leaves. The buffet and chairs were painted and "antiqued" when the fabric was replaced in the 1960's, but those pieces were dipped to remove that paint. They have been refinished to match the table. The label on the back of the buffet lists the following: "Showers Brothers Furniture, Larkin 00, and Peoria, IL." It was delivered to Peoria, which is where my grandparents lived. I assume the Larkin 00 is the style. This set has been well-maintained, and it has never been in direct sunlight.
