Dresden china set

By Deborah Picket…, 23 July, 2009
Description

Please help me identify the Dresden pattern below. As well, please tell me if you would be interested in purchasing the lset - and if so, what price could be offered. My mother, who inherited the china, was told that the set belonged to Teddy Roosevelt's sister. We have no way of knowing which of his two sisters it may have belonged to. It is not a complete set and shows signs of wear; however, there are still plenty of pieces, dinner plates, tureens, etc

The mark indicates that the piece is old, if you went to the library and borrowed the "encyclopedia of Marks" you could identify the piece. The item about being owned by the POTUS family member is nice, but barring a photo of the person holding the item with the former POTUS meaningless in value.

Re: Dresden china set

This was made by T.G. & F. Booth, Church Bank Pottery, Tunstall, Staffordshire Potteries. They where in business from 1883-1891.

They often included the pattern name shown here as "Dresden". There was a company named Dresden but this is not their mark.

Date mark is May 8th 1883.

And here it is:
