I am having a hard time putting pics on today. I would like to know what it is worth and how to go about selling it. the only thing I did not have in the pics is the three holes inside the censor not uniformed at all
Hi. This is not Chinese Longquan. This is a Meiji period or later (19th/20thC) Japanese copy, but not a copy in the sense of being fake. This is by an artist who is respectfully copying the form and glaze of a Song "Kinuta" glaze tripod censor, and marking it with his own seal on the base. You should show pictures of the seal to someone who can read Japanese - it may be worth something in it's own right if the Japanese potter is well known.
Re: chinese longquan southern song dynasty celadon tripod censor
From the pics, it seems from Song longquan
Would appreciate if you paste more pics.
Thanks
