cut glass

Description I found two of these vessels in my parents garage. It appears to be cut glass with a cork stopper in the large end which is painted gold. There is a glass loop or handle so it appears that it may have had a cord tied to it .

I would have to look more closely, see how the glass might have been "blown" but there is a possibility that you have "glass powder horns." If.. they are glass powder horns then the value might be higher than antique glass generally speaking, and in a focused market: say where civil war reenactments are done and allot of black powder is used.. these pieces might go well upwards of $50.00 apiece. Glass powder horns were used by wealthy gun owners to keep their powder dry... this was the "high end" of musket powder horns.
