Wooden armless rocking chair, cane seat, bird's eye maple wood on top of back. Condition is good to excellent; not used for sitting. No distinguishing marks. Seat re-caned in late 1960's.
This is what's loosely referred to as a " Hunzinger style rocker", after George Hunzinger who used a great deal of spiral and knob turned spindles in his pieces. Most like this are late 19th century examples, which were hot items in the 1980's to early 90's , but have since been declining in value.
At auction these sell for under $100.00.
