In Central California near where I used to live there was a place people used to go to hunt for old bottles. That's where I found a lot of the ones I have now. If there are any that you may be looking for or if you are curious about the ones I have I can describe them and/or send photos to you. Some of them are quite interesting. Stacey

i found one in Alfred , Me behind an olde home .. It was their bottle dump

My father always told me that his mother, Ethel Morton , lived next door to Mr. Hinds In Portland, Me...

When Ethel was a little girls he took her picture -she had hair with lovely ringlets... she was featured on the bottle... Of course if a bottle is found it will not have the picture...

Be sure that the images that you are uploading are no larger than 600x600 pixels each and that you "save for the web" in order to reduce the size of the image file. That should alleviate any issues you are having with uploading images.

I have one of these bottles that i found in an old house about 30 years ago in Essex County, Ontario.

It has no label, but does have the aluminum cap and is partially filled with what i believe is mercury.  I read somewhere else that these bottles were made until about 1930.

Anyone know the value of one of these if any - I understand they are very common.

I also have a bottle of Rawleighs Cold Tablets - still full!
