Montour Furniture Company bedroom bureau

By ploria, 27 September, 2009
Description

Unique piece. Solid wood and veneers, applied scroll work (some damaged and missing). Top has three hinged doors. The two side doors are curved. The center section opens to a shelf and two inner drawers. The lower piece has three large drawers. Dove-tail joints.

We've used it as a dining room cabinet and linen storage but I believe it is meant as a bedroom bureau.

Re: Montour Furniture Company bedroom bureau

I couldn't find any information on the internet other than a history of the town that mentions the furniture company's existence.

Re: Montour Furniture Company bedroom bureau

I have a queen anne dining set complete with china closet, six chairs, buffet and a hall tree from the same company. Mine has a label of 100 on the back. My parents bought it 40 years ago in a junk shop. I would love to know it's history.
