Re: Gund mfg J swindlin Stuffed HoBo clown

Hi, I have this same clown and have been looking for years for info on him. I don't have the hat though. Do you know if he has a name? How many of them were made? Mine is numbered  284. He's in great condition. I'd love to know more about him if you have any more information. Do you know what he might be worth? Let me know at your convenience please.

Thanks!

Re: Gund mfg J swindlin Stuffed HoBo clown

I just found one the other day at a yard sale.  What a wonderful doll.  I don't even collect stuff like this, but it was in wonderful condition and priced cheaply.  But now I can find out nothing about it.  Your two are the only ones mentioned on line anywhere!

Re: Gund mfg J swindlin Stuffed HoBo clown

I received one when I was 3 for my birthday and had it for 40 years before my ex threw hime away. I would love to get another. If anyone wants to sell one, please let me know. I would be forever grateful.

Hi, I have one that I found in my boxes in the basement.  He is in very good condition, but the crank is gone.  I would love to find him a home of someone who he would mean something too. I am sorry about your original clown.

I also have one that is very similar. The only difference is that it has red and white clothes with blue stars and two big blue fuzzy balls on the front for buttons. I am interested in what this is worth since my two year old daughter wants to play with it.
