This is an extraordinarily decorated vase with too much detail to list everything. It is hand signed on the base and there are also two Asian symbols lightly incised on the base.
There is hand enameling, raised beading and applied genuine gold.
The details are exquisite. Background color ranges from deep blue at the base to light blue then blends to cream color which darkens to yellow and finally dark mustard near the top. The main subjects are three quail chicks, (or some kind of birds). There are many buterflies, flowers, vines and leaves. The top has ornate gold designs with raised enameling and the detailed image of a horned dragon. Other than fine below surface crazing it is in mint condition. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, repairs, touch-ups, stains, defects or wear marks.

Re: Antique Hand Enameled Japanese Porcelain Vase W/ Quails ...
I am seeking any information about this vase. Who made it and when? How much could it be worth? What is the English translation of the writing on the base? I would really appreciate any information.
Thanks so much
