Description I bought this china at an auction. There are 58 pieces and 9 chopsticks and all of them are in great condition except two pieces. One of the rectangle platters has crazing throughout it and one of the salad bowls has a chip. I bought this thinking that it was quite new because of the condition and then out of curiosity I looked it up online. I found out that is from the 1940s and is a bamboo pattern. There are also three different kinds of markings on the bottom of the dishes and one of them is double stamped. Here is a list of what I have. Dinner plates: 9 Bread and butter plates: 9 Tea cup with saucer: 9 of each Gravy boat: 1 Split salad dish: 1 Sugar and Creamer: 1 of each Salt and Pepper: 2 salt and 1 pepper Ash trays: 4 Square platter: 1 Rectangle platters: 2 different sizes the larger one has the crazing Casserole dishes: 2 different sizes both have lids Relish tray: 1 Salad bowls: 2 round and 1 square Bamboo chopsticks: 9

The Winfield China Company was established in Santa Monica, Ca. in 1929 and continued making fine dinnerware until 1962. The Bamboo pattern was d/c'd in 1947 You can find these prices at replacements.com...
