This is a cast iron goose that we found in a friends basement. Have a general idea of price but just guessing. No cracks and seems to be in good shape.

Re: Cast Iron Red Goose Shoes String Holder

Looks like a Cast Iron Red Goose Shoes String Holder from the 20s to 1930s. Worth about $1,200 - $1,600 at auction in good condition. Considered early & hard to find.

Re: Cast Iron Red Goose Shoes String Holder

My response to your email was deleted to you on myspace since we were not friends, yet...I sent you a request. Anyway, I would try selling it on www.antiquespider.com since it is free to list, only has a 3% commission when you sell & does not kill you with multi-fees...I just found the site this week, myself. Then I would try to network with cast iron/advertising collectors via yahoo groups, FB, MySpace. And, you can try local free ads, like craigslist, but be careful. And, why not ask your local auction house, too when their next specialised auction will be & put a fair reserve on it? Good luck!
