Antique, ornately carved Gothic style wood chair with family crest or armor carving on back. It has a leather seat surrounded by nailheads with no markings what so ever..

By 4enigma, 18 January, 2010
Description

This is a beautiful chair that is ornately carved. It appears to be all orginal and has the leather seat surrounded by nail heads. There is some staining underneath the seat which makes me think that it was exposed to water or moisture at some point in time. The portion that you would lean against if you were sitting it has what appears to be a family crest or coat of arms carved into it. The front legs are sprial carved and the base appear to be clawed. I have never seen anything like it before and no one is able to give it an appraisal so I do not no how much to offer for the price.
