Description
the chair was handmade there are no nails it it at all, completley made out of wood with wood pegs. best guess of age is 100+ years I was told by my father. It is in fair condition, one leg has a spilt in it and one of the the rails is completely spilt and my father taped it a long long time ago. I am trying to find out its history age and if it is worth keeping or to get it repaied or would it be better to sell this item.
Re: Handmade wooden chair
Chairs like this were made 1820-50, they are loosely based on Sheraton style
chairs. Most originally had a decorative painted finish, values for them are very modest, even if in undamaged condition, often selling for under $50.00 at auction.
