Antique Trinket Box?

By haylibugg, 15 January, 2010
Description

The box is has a goldish/brass appearance with a floral design. It is especially noticeable on the bottom. Inside the bottom is peachy colored and plush. The top is made of glass. The most interesting part is the crest on the top. It could be jewish or russian. Unfortunately I can't seem to get my camera to focus on the crest. Other than the looks of the trinket box I know nothing else. :(

Re: Antique Trinket Box?

If there are no markings to indicate silver content it's simply silverplated and could have been made anywhere. Similar pieces were made right through the 1940's.
