Re: Antique Fork and Knife in Scabbard from India

Hey I was wondering if you ever found out how much this item is worth?  I actually just came into possession of one exactly like it and I was curious what it is worth.  I am wanting to sell mine so I needed to know where to expect it to sell.

Not much I'm afraid, these are Tourist bazaar items, similar pieces are still sold in Import/Export decorator stores. At auction they routinely sell for under $50.00.

What are the odds I just picked the same item up at a second hand store and wanted to know its value also.

These are Tourist bazaar items, while not mass produced in the modern sense they were made in large numbers . Similar pieces are still sold in Import/Export decorator stores. At auction these routinely sell for under $50.00.
