Possible Antique Couch?

By ddl1023, 16 February, 2010
Description

All I know is that this was purchased at auction in 1965 and was later recovered. At one point, the previous owner was offered 3k for it but I don't know why. I'm really just hoping to find some general info on it. I wish I had more background to share. There are no markings or any kind on it.

Re: Possible Antique Couch?

Based on the images it's an Empire Revival style piece from the turn of the 19th Century. The style currently is not in great demand and is difficult to sell as they don't fit with modern decorating trends. $200.00 at auction.
