This piece is an example of "Series Ware" that Royal Doulton produced in celebration of people, places, events, and literature significant to British history. This series " Old Moreton " was made from 1915-1933, it was made in a full range of pieces , such as tea sets, plates etc. Quite collectible, I've seen the bowls sell for over $80.00 at auction.
