Falcon Ware Antique Flower Holder - England

By sweetgrass, 16 February, 2010
Description

I know very little about this piece, except what I have learned online. The Falcon company was a well-known pottery company in England in the late 1800's- known for vases, flower holders, etc. This pieces is a flower holder, I believe. It has been in the family for quite sometime, but has never really been displayed or talked about.

In all honesty, I am not particularly fond of this piece, but am curious of it's origins, it's age, if it's worth keeping ... and of course it's value.
The markings on the bottom clearly state Falcon, but there is a "No 2" beside it. I am not sure what that "No 2" means?

Sorry, the pic's are not great.

Any help would be appreciated.
