rocking chair

Description

seems to be made of mahogany by look of wood, back carving cracked but repairable, finish needs redoing, wood otherwise in excellent shape, was reupholstered some time in the past. interested in knowing more about it; age, style, manufacture, country, etc, is it worth anything or just a nice project for someone.

Your chair dates about 1895-1900, and like many made during that period has elements of the Art Nouveau style in it. At auction similar rockers sell for about 225.00.
