Description
I have a circa 1850's copper, claw foot tub, with its original oak ring around the top. The tub was in my home when I purchased it in 2003. I had it inspected by a local "tub pro" and was told it is valuable. It does not leak, and has the original hardware, faucets, water lines etc.
Re: antique tub circa 1850's, copper, claw foot w/ original ...
Hello, not sure if you still want info on your tub or not, but here it goes. I have been refinishing claw foot tubs for over 10 years. Yours is quite rare. Most of them were manufactured in Europe. If it was restored (refinished) it would likely fetch $3000 or more. In it's current condition, it would probably be worth about $500. Hope this was helpful to you.
By the way...I don't think your measurements are accurate. More likely it is 30" wide (not 36" or 3 feet as indicated in your posting).
