H. Hargrove - Covered Bridge in Winter, ca. 1984

By intrepidjenn, 22 March, 2010
Description

My parents purchased this piece in 1984. On the back it has a "Certificate of Registration" from Collector's Corner, Inc. It is framed and was purchased as such. There is no indication of what edition it is or what the title is. We've seen other covered bridge paintings but can't seem to find this particular scene online anywhere. We've searched both hargrovepaintings.com and hhargrove.com to try to find out its title and some sort of estimation of value. Are there any appraisers in the Northeast or California that specialize in H. Hargrove?? Many thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

We have a very similar painting by Hargrove with a young boy walking his horse and drawn cart out of the bridge. Winter scene.
