STERLING SILVER ? BREAD BASKET or FRUIT BOWL MADE IN ITALY ITALIAN

Description

This belonged to my grandmother. She was a world traveler. It is engraved on the bottom and says made in Italy. There are no other markings. It is heavy and in excellent condition but needs to be cleaned as it is tarnished in certain places.

If there are no hall marks it is not sterling silver, the fact it says "Italy" on the bottom means it post dates 1891. Here's a link to what Italian silver hallmarks look like:
