Re: Inherited Old Dresser

There was a furniture manufacturer in Evansville but the name was slightly different.  Globe-Bosse-World Furniture Co consolidated 3 furniture companies in 1910.  They billed themselves as the largest furniture company in the world and mostly made wood furniture for bedroom suites, parlor/living room, and dinning rooms.  They were said to manufacture more than $1 million worth of furniture annually.  The factory was utterly destroyed by a major fire in 1946.  They sold off inventory, produced some furniture, sold off property and were last listed in Evansville city directories in 1955.  The last building/property was sold 1965
