Antique H.Krug wooden operators chair from Bell Canada

By Awsum O, 26 April, 2010
Description

This chair, manufactured by H.Krug of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada on March 5/1955, was used by a Bell Telephone operator at the switchboard from that date until an unknown year when it was to be thrown out. My father worked for Bell Canada and got to take it home and save it from being disposed of. It has been around our family as long as I can remember. It is a fairly solid chair and it is quite comfortable to sit in. From what information I have found, it may be made of white oak but I am not certain. It could be for sale if the right offer was made.
