Description

China plate named "Easter". The first issue in the Jessie Willcox Smith Childhood Holiday Memories Collection. The first collector's plate series from Knowles China to celebrate the work of this major american artist, and the first limited edition collector's plate ever sponsored by the Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts and realised in cooperation with Good Housekeeping magazine in an edition forever limited to ninety-sevemn firing days.. This edition is limited to an absolute firing period of 97 days, and has been crafted to the exacting standards of the Edwin M. Knowles China company.

I hate to say this but collectors plates with very rare exceptions are terrible for investment purposes, few if any have even maintain their original retail value even thirty years later. The Rockwell plates routinely sell for less than $12.00 at auction and in many cases retail for less than $25.00.
