Large Fish Wall Pocket

By murphsmom, 18 July, 2010
Description

This wall pocket has been in my family forever, and I have no idea who made it. It's really a beautiful piece and in mint condition. It's got to be over 50 years old, because I always remember it being around, and I'm 52. If anyone can identify it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Large Fish Wall Pocket

I really don't know who made this or how much it might be worth. It looks more like a wall art object instead of a wall pocket, as the wall pockets have a "pocket" to place flowers or plants. It is really beautiful, though.

Re: Large Fish Wall Pocket

Thanks for the information. Another site said that it was from the 50's, but they didn't name the maker. I'll keep looking. Thanks again!

Check this link. I believe I've found the exact mold of your fish. However, these are newer. I'm thinking the mold is still out there somewhere and still being poured and painted. Your's is a lot prettier than the ones being sold by this seller. You might check with the seller and see if she can give you some insight. Good luck!
