Art Appraisal

By turna01, 2 August, 2010
Description

I have attached pictures of an oil painting I have owned for over 12 years. It belonged to a sohisticated art collector, so I would think it has value. Please help me identify the artist. I appreciate any suggestions you may have on how to help identify the artist and the piece's ultimate value.

Re: Art Appraisal

You will probably have a hard time looking up the artist. Paintings like this in the "Impasto style" tend to be pieces produced by artists under contract to Art Wholesalers who conduct " Starving Artist" sales across the nation during the 1980's. Many of these Artists did not paint under their own name and made multiples of each painting.
