PT Barnum Mantle Piece

Description This mantle piece is in an estate home which is being sold in SC. It is listed as one of the selling points of the home, and I'd like to have some idea of it's value. Does the fact that it is a PT Barnum piece add value? Is the value monetary or simply interest? Thank you for your help!

It could I suppose if the claim it belonged to Barnum was verified, otherwise it's a pretty typical Victorian Eastlake style mantel from the last quarter of the 19th Century. Comparable mantels sell for about $500.00-$800.00 at auction.
