Your desk is a modern reproduction, the Dorset Corporation was a group of furniture companies including Jasper dating back to 1972. Jasper on it's own didn't build roll top desks until the 1960's.

What about the RT622 model? Is it in the same boat? It has the burnt shield in one drawer but the middle drawer it says RT622 mystique but it also a Dorset company.

Yes , it would be in the same category, a reproduction desk. These now sell at auction for well below the figure paid for the Model # RT 685 Americana
