Cedar chests like this one in the " Waterfall style" ( named after the curving top) date from the 1930's through the end of WW2. They were produced in the millions and still survive in huge numbers. For this reason values are modest for them, most sell for under $150.00 at auction.

Hello, If you look on the bottom side you should find the year it was made. It looks like a Lane. My mother had one as well and was made in 1945. Hope this helps.
