Siam Bronze Flatware set of 144

By kaffywaffy, 30 November, 2010
Description

this is a 144 piece set of flatware.  Could not find specific hallmarks, but after many hours of research, it is very similar to other bronze flatware sets.  The difference with this set is that it has a person riding an elephant.  other sets that I have found have either just an elephant(s) or a 'god'  for the pattern.  Would love to find out more information on this set, and a value as well.  Thanks!

Re: Siam Bronze Flatware set of 144

No huge value I'm afraid, large numbers of these services have been brought back By American Armed Forces personnel since World War Two and and again during Vietnam. These sets generally look far older than they really are, these services sell routinely for under $150.00 at auction.
