Re: Caswell-Runyan Cedar Hope Chest

I have one similar to that.  How much is it appraised for it you don't mind my asking.  I am going to give mine to my granddaugher for graduation.

Re: Caswell-Runyan Cedar Hope Chest

I am interested in the apraisal too. Last year I had my Cedar chest stolen down in Branson West, MO. It was left to me from my Grandmother and was her wedding present.

Re: Caswell-Runyan Cedar Hope Chest

These chests are probably the most common furniture item found in average American homes. Several manufacturers made them from World War One into the 1960's. Because so many of them were produced their values tend to be very modest, we sell them all the time for under $250.00.

Re: Caswell-Runyan Cedar Hope Chest

Well, at auction we see these chests go all the time for less than $100.00, many times we retail them for less than $200.00 just to move them.
