1880's horse hair bridle

Description

has been handed down since 1880's on my fathers side of the family Hackelton's. supposedly was made by prison indians in oklahoma this is the family story that has been told for over 100 years the cowboy hall of fame wanted us to donate it said it is the same one they have, just ours is better condition and they wanted it for their museum!

Items such as this really need a physical examination by an expert to determine their origins, but based on what I can see in the images provided, it is very similar to examples made in the Montana State Prison, Deer Lodge. These "Presentation Bridles" were very popular prizes at equestrian events during the 20' and 30's and are highly sought after in today's market. Values for them vary considerably, at auction I've seen some sell for over $13,000.00
