Re: Lamp Made in Italy
HI, I recently got a lamp almost identically to yours. I found a signature inside the base, can't really make out all the letters so far I got Chadi Monte italy old, but I'm not sure if that's right. Have you found anything out about your? So far I have found nothing. If I can't find anything on the net, I'm bringing mine in to get it looked at and get all the information on it. If you know anything can you please let me know? When I get all the 411 on mine I can let you know also.
Thank you!

Re: Lamp Made in Italy
Your lamp appears to be a Capodimonte style lamp, most likely from the 1920-1940 period. Most Capodimonte pieces are highly decorated in floral and other kinds of molded porcelain in high relief. The one pictured doesn't seem to have molded flowers, but does have intentional cutouts where the flower's petals would be. The base, which is bright and lovely, appears to be in good condition, as does the lamp overall. It's my best estimate that your lamp may be worth $60-$75, more than likely imported and sold through department stores in the early to mid part of the last century. It's a lovely object and a family piece which should be treasured for those values alone.
