Metal/possible industrial steel Chest of Drawers, Head and foot board

By dean1955, 21 January, 2011
Description

I purchased this chest and bed at an estate sale. The set was purchsed by the owners when they were first married and she was in her 80's when she passed. The set is in good condition has normal use wear on the paint. It is a faux brown/wood grain finish. I have only found one exactly like it on line and it is listed as vintage for $3,200, it is described as Mid century industrial metal chest of drawers and it is listed as steel for materials. We have compared the picture of that item to ours and they appear to be exactly the same except color... highth 44 1/2" depth 18" width 30". I have actually called the Turk furniture Co Corp. office trying to get someone to tell me if these items were from their company and thier history as they date back I believe before 1900. I believe these items are at least 60 years plus old.

Here's the site I found one like it polished but to me looks as if it had been sanded down to look polished.
