CAMP ATLANTA NEBRASKA WWII POW Canteen Chit Book UNUSED

By subu64, 2 February, 2011
Description

This is a World War II Camp Atlanta, Nebraska Canteen Chit Book that was never used.  This was passed down from my grandfather, who used to work at the camp during the war. This book is complete and none of the chits have been removed.  All of the chits are well connected along the perforations and the corners/edges are in excellent condition.  The coloring is very true to original and has been stored in a covered box through the years.  The total denomination of the book is $10.00 with a total of 75 chits in denominations from 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, and 50¢.  May consider selling it but wanting to know what it's worth.

Nice unusual Item. Worth around $30-$50 to the right buyer. Make sure to write down your grandpa's name and story to go along with it for provenance!

Just wanted to update, I sold the book on ebay after a good bidding war for $995.00, yes almost $1,000.00!!!  It was quite a nice surprise :)
