Hawkes cut glass lamp

By brucesykes, 7 February, 2011
Description

I received this cut glass lamp from my grandmother.  The signiture HAWKES is on the bottom inside lip of the lamp bowl.  The metal attached to the upper part of the base needs to be resilvered.  Other than that, everything is perfect.  Absolutely no flaws/chips.

Re: Hawkes cut glass lamp

Looking at glass made by hawkes in the past, these usually will bring 150-200 american dollars at auction. If you decide to sell it i would price range it around that. A very nice piece. Very rare to see in such good condition. Your best bet would probably look for a collector to sell to. Good Luck.

Re: Hawkes cut glass lamp

Really? $150-200 for a signed Hawkes cut glass lamp?!  Not even close. I'd buy it for $500 and re-sell for even more.

Re: Hawkes cut glass lamp

Values for cut glass have tumbled, but not that much, there still is demand for signed cut glass lamps. Here's a link to all cut glass lamps I have listings for for the current year, which will give you a base line value:
