Description

I am interested in finding out exactly what this object it - i dug it up when i was metal detecting, it was buried about 9inches down, filled with soil and green in colour - i initially thought that it looked like a grenade!

hi catherine,

 

It would help if you posted its dimensions.  right now we don't know it's size - is it the size of a grenade?  or smaller? 

 

If it's the size of a grenade, is it hollow?  Are those designs on it, do they look like grape clusters to you?  

 

please let us know its size, that would be a big help in coming up  with an id.
