German Ceramic Canister Set

Description

My mother has had an old ceramic canister set in her china cabinet for as long as I can remember and wanted to know if it was worth anything.  It was originally given to her uncle when he lived in Germany.

The set consists of fifteen pieces which are labeled (clockwise from left):

Farina, Oatmeal, Rice, Coffee, Tea, Sugar (1st row)
Oil, Vinegar (2nd row)
Salt (middle)
Cloves, Ginger, Pepper, Cloves, Allspice, Mace (bottom)

As shown in the second picture and described in "distinguishing marks", the bottom of each canister has the words "GMT & Bros, 8809, Germany".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sets like these were meant to resemble Dutch Delftware, some sets do date back to the turn of the 19th century. The marking "Germany" indicates this set postdates 1891, the fact the labels are all in English means this set was made for Export rather than domestic use. Sets like these were mass produced items, values for them depend on the size of the set and it's condition, most sell for less than $150.00
