Sofa and Set of Chairs

By laurenmarie21, 7 September, 2011
Description

The sofa and chairs are all in good/excellent condition. Some of the paint appears to be wearing/flaking in certain areas of high wear, but the furniture is whole. The upholstery is highly textured and there is noticable difference in the shade between the front and back of the furniture. The floral carvings along the feet, arms, and backs of the chairs and sofa are similar, but not identical and have different characteristics each. All tacks are in place with regard to the upholstery and there are no tears, cuts, frays.

Re: Sofa and Set of Chairs

Your suite is in the Louis XV style, which has never really been out of production since the style first appeared in the 1700's. The style has been revived in the 1850's, 1890's, 1920's, 1950's, 80's and 90's as French Country. The problem is that it really needs to be physically examined to determine which vintage you have.

Re: Sofa and Set of Chairs

Thank you for the quick reply. So, basically I need to find someone close to my location to come by or I need to transport it to them?
