Brass and Copper piece I believe to be Chinese Censer from early 1800's

By CJ Mountain Made, 30 October, 2011
Description

I have looked everywhere and cannot find this item anywhere. It has some of the same markings as the Chinese Censer. I think at one time there must have been a bottom to it but this is all it has with it. It is old and seems asian. It has some remarkable markings on it and what appears to be phoenix in each section, totalling 4 of the phoenix. The handles are elephants and it has some unique etchings on it.

Re: Brass and Copper piece I believe to be Chinese Censer ...

I really would like some advice as to what this might be. I have gone through some sites that have similar things and they are expensive. I just need some solid advice on this piece. Thank you.
