This item has the letters and numbers on back...AP 1 . 44  .4   .18  .B

It has a enesco japan sticker of red and silver.

It also has "made in Japan stamped in the tile part.  The signature looks like it is written in japanese.

Pieces like this generally date from the late 1950's through the early 1970's, values for them tend to be modest as they were made in huge numbers for ther Export market. At auction they generally sell for less than $25.00
