Re: Antique Bronze Twin Cherubs Table Lamp

What is the age and value of this lamp, please? Belonged to my 95 yr. old grandmother who has since passed. It is older than myself, born in 1958. Thank you for the help.

Re: Antique Bronze Twin Cherubs Table Lamp

Without full images it's hard to tell, but it's unlikely it predates World War Two from what I can see. At auction lamps like this with no comapny markings often sell for less than $100.00.

Re: Antique Bronze Twin Cherubs Table Lamp

It's most likely "Spelter" ( a zinc alloy) with a bronze plating. One way to find out is to take off the base of the lamps and scratch the underside with a nail, if a silvery color shows underneath the bronze it's Spelter or some other base pot metal.
