Indian Brass plates

Would appreciate if anyone could tell me anything about these plates.

Great granfather served in Afghanistan and India between 1874 and 1898 .

would like to know if junk.

Indian brass plates generally don't go for much, these ones are nicer than most one see's made for the Tourist/Export market, but still often sell for less than $50.00 at auction (each)
