H.D. Hudson Pump Tank Fire Extinguisher.  Holds 4 gallons of water.  Model no. 6993a. Federal stock no. 4210-251-7903.  The plate on the front of the can also lists an "unclassified no. M-855785."

While there is some demand for the brass fire extinguishers, there is not much interest in these plain  galvanized examples except amoung fans of  Firehouse collectibles. These plain models often sell at auction for less than $20.00
